Lachael Prouty is a Sports Performance Dietitian, Certified Fitness Instructor and Wellness Expert, with a Master's degree from U.C. Berkeley in Public Health Nutrition emphasizing Sports Nutrition, as well as being a Certified Group Fitness Instructor. Lachael helps fitness enthusiasts, amateur and professional athletes improve their health and wellness and meet performance goals through her consulting company, Painless Gains™.
Co-author of the sports, fitness and nutrition book, Breakin’ Down The Barriers, Lachael has been a Sports Dietitian for over 15 years, serving as team nutritionist for the San Diego Padres (MLB) and San Diego Siege (NWBL), and has consulted with the San Jose Sharks (NHL), Anaheim Ducks (NHL), and Cal State University San Bernardino Women's Cross Country Team. Specializing in individual performance enhancement, Lachael designs customized nutrition programs for professional and amateur triathletes, marathoners, surfers, cyclists, extreme skiers, snowboarders, mixed martial artists, golfers, as well as, football, baseball, hockey, tennis, soccer, rugby, basketball players, and more.
In the wellness arena, Lachael has developed and implemented nutrition and wellness programs in several fitness facilities and companies and thrives on helping all her wellness, nutrition and group fitness clients make positive lifestyle changes.
As an athlete herself, Lachael understands the importance of education and empowerment for athletes and active individuals. Lachael helps identify personal goals for her clients, and implements a step by step plan to successfully reach those goals, whether it's losing body fat, gaining lean mass, increasing energy or focus, eating for peak performance or the ‘little things’ nutritionally that can help athletes gain the competitive edge they seek. She offers individualized one-on-one consulting as well as group/team workshops.
Beyond the nutritional aspects of her consulting, Lachael also assists athletes through visualization techniques, positive self-talk, and positive mental coaching, because the MENTAL FUELS the PHYSICAL.
